“Savage” is one way to call today’s society. In light of current events, it’s much easier to be nasty. But if you want to be above all of that, and “makeover your soul,” then lead by Cher Horowitz’s (from the movie Clueless) example.
Here are a few things you can do that might help you be nicer (emphasize on might. We’re not Jesus or Ghandi. We’re just trying here):
Do Something For Others
Help a friend with a makeover, give them dating advice, or help with homework or errands.
Be A Supportive Friend
Go to your friend’s important skateboarding competition or musical performance. Or read the script they’re working hard to write.
Give Back To Charity
Help a non-profit, like a fundraiser for disaster relief, or for starving children.
Give Random Compliments
Compliment friends or people you know on the little things- like their hair, or their sense of humor, or something. It could brighten someone’s day.
Always say “please” and “thank you” (maybe your parents already scared you into doing this).
Now, you don’t have to be nice. It’s not for everyone. But Cher seemed to like it!
